Matt Pettit – Western Australia

*Independent* provider of Home Medicine Reviews (HMRs)

About Me:

I graduated from Curtin University, in Western Australia, in 2002.

I currently work part-time for two organisations. FTE 0.4 on Monday and Tuesday for Respiratory Care WA providing lung function testing, education and support for patients with chronic respiratory conditions; and FTE 0.4, as a Chronic Condition Care Coordinator (supporting patients to optimally self-manage their COPD & Cardiac Failure) for the WA Country Health Service (WACHS-South-West) based at Busselton Hospital.

Previously, I worked as a Ward Clinical Pharmacist on rotation through a variety of Bunbury Hospital wards including General Medicine, Intensive Care, Surgical (General Surgery & Orthopaedics), Subacute (Geriatric Rehabilitation Unit), Psychiatry, Maternity and Paediatric Wards.

I am also available to conduct HMRs / RMMRs upon referral; I have been conducting these reviews since 2007.

In my previous roles, I have been employed by GP Down South (now known as Oseca), as an NPS Facilitator providing non-biased, evidence-based education to GPs and other Health Professionals on a variety of clinical topics through NPS MedicineWise using Academic Detailing & Case Studies.

I previously worked as a Mentor to Candidate-Pharmacists undergoing Accreditation for the (now defunct) Australian Association of Accredited Pharmacists (AACP) since around 2009.

Prior to 2009, I was based in Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, working as a clinical pharmacist at Kalgoorlie Hospital, conducting HMRs / RMMRs, and spent around four years in the early part of my career as a Community Pharmacist.
